Matteo Scalabrini (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary designer active in the field of Open Design and Electronics based in Bolzano, Italy. Working across design, coding, electronics and manufacturing his practice focuses on changing the way products and services are conventionally envisioned by seamlessly developing design, hardware, and software solutions to create optimized and streamlined objects that focus on usability and environmental consciousness.


Since 2021 Matteo has been working in the field of research as the project coordinator and designer for "DIYR: Do It Yourself Revolution" of the “Design Friction Lab” research laboratory at the Free University of Bozen, Bolzano.
